Two cool videos: the first explains clearly how computers work in that they store binary numbers (0s and 1s) on magnetic disks. The 0s and 1s correspond to numbers, where numbers correspond to letters, symbols and the like. Thus, words, figures, symbols, etc. can be stored using binary numbers. A 0 turns “off” a store (i.e. negative magnetic charge), and a 1 turns it “on” (i.e. positive magnetic charge). That is how information is stored in a computer.
